This morning, before his coffee. Much mileage left in this little gem! And no, there was no heroin consumed in our household this morning.
WatchSo in the new year, I’m trying to consume one piece of inspirational media every day. TED is my go-to source. Even the most out there topic (like this one) seems to fall close to my heart. The take away message for me was that our brains seek patterns, not perfection. So the challenge, the shift in thinking is to create patterns from imperfect objects.

I need to watch this again to fully absorb it, but between Brown’s talk and the Joseph Campbell documentary Courtney and I watched last night, I’m feeling brave, heartened, and ready to lean into life.

Back from Vacay!
Back to work today after a grueling trip home yesterday. Here was the itinerary:
5:30 AM Leave Tulum in a Collectivo
7:00 AM Arrive at the Playa Del Carmen bus station
8:00 AM Board bus to Cancun Airport
9:00 AM Blown off by Airtran after confirming that all flights to Richmond from Atlanta were cancelled
9:30 AM Returned to Airtran counter after attempts to call customer service...
